Effective January 1, 2023, residents of Petawawa, Pembroke, Laurentian Valley and North Algona Wilberforce can now drop-off additional light bulbs at the Centre’s Household Hazardous Waste Depot or Environmental Day.
Acceptable Bulbs Include:
Fluorescent tubes (all shapes, lengths)
Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFLs)
High Density (HIDs)
Halogen/Incandescent
LED
Miniature Bulbs (LED, Incandescent, halogen)
Does Not Include:
Light Fixtures
Ballasts
String Lights
Batteries (Acceptable as Hazardous Waste but not as part of the Ontario Lighting Program)
Smoke & CO Detectors
