Residents and businesses can drop their Electronic Waste (E-Waste) off at at our E-Waste Depot located at 1076 Woito Station Road – Gate 3 (next to 900 Woito Station Road) during regular operating hours.   Residents from the Town of Petawawa, City of Pembroke, Township of Laurentian Valley and Township of North Algona Wilberforce can also drop electronic waste off at one of two Environmental Days.  Petawawa, Pembroke and Laurentian Valley residents can also place e-waste out for collection during Large Item Pick-Up. 

Important Things to Consider Before Visiting the Waste Electronics Depot

  • Please ensure you remove and wipe clean all data from computers and laptops, SIM cards and other storage devices in cell phones, digital cameras or digital printers prior to drop-off.   If you are unsure how to do this, check your owner’s manual or contact the manufacturer.
  • Due to health and safety concerns, OVWRC staff are not able to assist with unloading of material from customer vehicles. Customers are responsible for unloading material into bins.

  • Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarms – Please remove batteries for hazardous waste disposal and then dispose of alarm in regular garbage.

The OVWRC’s e-waste recycling program is an affiliate drop off site for Electronics Products Recycling Association (EPRA)  and works in partnership with an EPRA approved processor.
